Book Fair Launches ADIBF 2014 App Comprehensive application for visitors, publishers and authors
Abu Dhabi, UAE. 2 May, 2014: In keeping with latest trends in e-publishing a new smart phone app has been launched at the 24th edition of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair providing visitors ease of access to a range of the publishing industrys latest services.
The free ADIBF application launched by show organisers Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi) in cooperation with Interface, a UAE technology development company, is available for all kinds of smart phones and tablet devices.
Downloadable via QR codes on display at the Fair, and available on Android and Apple platforms, the app is designed exclusively for ADIBFs 2014 edition. Users can simply download the app and access a complete exhibitor database, a comprehensive database for more than half a million books on display and available at the fair and provides a user-friendly exhibition floor plan. Visitors can navigate the Fair, identify the location of a chosen selected pavilion, create favourite lists, and access an array of interactive links to further information and details of the Fairs activities and events.
Designed to be stylish and practical to use, the apps seamless navigation to details of the 1,125 publishers, book titles and complete list of writers and translators allows visitors to pre-plan and maximise their visit to the Fair which runs until 5 May. The app also features a handy planning tool presenting all lectures, seminars and discussion sessions and events being held at the Fair, with the ability to add highlights and download to users calendars
This pioneering step by Abu Dhabi International Book Fair is affirmation of the commitment to providing the latest scientific and technological tools along with the best cultural knowledge.
