Arada, UAE Cycling Federation Renew Masaar Track Partnership for Third Year

Arada has renewed its partnership with the UAE Cycling Federation to continue utilising the Masaar Track for a third consecutive year, reinforcing support for both elite athletes and community cycling initiatives.

The extended agreement will see the UAE National Cycling Team return to the Masaar Cycling Track, located in the Suyoh suburb of Sharjah, for monthly training sessions through June 2026. Each session will also include public access, allowing community cyclists to train alongside national-level athletes.

The 6.6-kilometre professional looped circuit features three bridges and four tunnels, offering a high-performance training environment while maintaining accessibility for riders of all skill levels. Since the partnership began, the initiative has supported cyclists across various age groups and abilities, reflecting growing interest in the sport across the UAE.

In 2025, Masaar Track recorded an average of 100 cyclists per day, underscoring its rising popularity as part of the country’s first forest community. The facility is designed to accommodate both competitive and recreational use, with dedicated lanes ensuring a safe and inclusive experience.

The track is anchored by The Loop, a hub that includes a café, retail outlets, and bike repair and rental services. It has also hosted several cycling events since its launch. Recent upgrades include the addition of a new security gate and digital access features, enabling cyclists to register via WhatsApp for updates on training sessions and activities.

Amit Arora, Chief Operating Officer – Hospitality and Entertainment at Arada, said the partnership highlights the importance of well-designed infrastructure in supporting both professional sports and everyday physical activity.

Meanwhile, Mansoor Buosaiba noted that the collaboration has expanded access to high-quality training facilities while encouraging broader community participation. He added that the initiative also promotes sustainability and healthy lifestyles through eco-friendly cycling environments.

With cycling continuing to gain traction across the UAE, supported by new infrastructure and increased participation, partnerships such as this are playing a key role in developing the sport at both grassroots and elite levels.
