American Hospital Dubai Successfully Hosts Storytelling Session in Support of SAADAs Reading is Healing Initiative
UAE, December 13, 2016 - The American Hospital Dubai, in cooperation with Al Aalm Al Arabi for Posting and Circulation, recently hosted a narration session for little ones above the age of 2 years in support of the 'Reading is Healing' campaign by SAADA, a health insurance program for the residents of the Emirate of Dubai. The session complements the directive of H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, stating 2016 as the 'Year of Reading' with the goal of creating a generation of book enthusiasts to help place the country as a global resources for society and knowledge.
The program was held at the OPD Lobby of the American Health center Dubai, where Aysha Al Mehiari read the tale of 'Hala Making Her Life Beautiful' by Hanan Al Saadi to a group of children. Various other entertaining activities such as craft workshops, face painting, and balloon twisting additionally happened to keep the audience involved. Several children of hospital workers existed to listen to the tale of the little girl in a highly interactive session.
"The American Hospital facility Dubai strongly advertises all initiatives that support the government's directive to mark 2016 as the 'Year of Reading.' The recently arranged narration session in collaboration with SAADA belongs to our efforts to develop interest and enthusiasm for reading from a young age. As part of the 'Reading is Healing' initiative, the session was comfortably received by both parents and children.
