Alef Education Engages in Strategic Dialogues at 3rd ICESCO Education Ministers Conference, Driving Innovation in Global Education

Alef Education, a prominent leader in education technology based in the UAE, held 18 high-level meetings with education ministers and leaders at the 3rd ICESCO Education Ministers Conference in Muscat, Oman, from October 2-3, 2024. The discussions aimed to build strategic partnerships to advance education on a global scale, focusing on integrating AI-powered solutions and promoting sustainable educational reforms.

The conference offered Alef Education an opportunity to present its innovative solutions and participate in forward-thinking dialogues on the future of learning. Dr. Aishah Al Yammahi, Strategic Advisor at Alef Education, stated, “Our engagement with decision-makers during the conference underscores our commitment to pioneering AI solutions that drive innovation in education and help students worldwide reach their full potential. We are honored to support initiatives like the Muscat Declaration, which promotes responsible AI ethics within the education sector.”

Dr. Al Yammahi also participated in a panel titled "Greening Education: A Sustainable Future for All," underscoring the importance of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and advocating for accessible technology to bridge the digital divide in education. The Muscat Declaration, issued at the conference's conclusion, endorsed the Charter of ICESCO for AI Ethics in the Islamic World, further affirming the role of ethical AI in educational advancement.

Alef Education, in collaboration with Miqyas Al Dhad, met with ministers from 13 countries, including Saudi Arabia, Oman, Pakistan, Libya, Tunisia, Bahrain, and Iraq, along with representatives from international organizations like the World Bank and Cambridge Partnership for Education. These dialogues focused on advancing educational reforms and implementing AI and data-driven frameworks like Miqyas Al Dhad, designed to improve Arabic literacy across the region. Developed with MetaMetrics®, Miqyas Al Dhad will standardize Arabic language proficiency assessments, offering a unified measurement for Arabic literacy.
