Ajman Free Zone highlights the integration of innovation into its strategies as it concludes UAE Innovates 2021
In line with its efforts to integrate innovation into its digital transformation strategy, to promote the growth of technology sector, and support innovative companies, Ajman Free Zone has planned a series of initiatives and events to celebrate UAE Innovates 2021. The annual national event seeks to promote the culture of innovation and increase community commitment towards designing and developing plans for the UAE as it enters a new era of excellence and prepares for the next 50 years.
H.E. Eng. Ali Abdulla Bin Towaih AlSuwaidi, Director General of Ajman Free Zone, explained that the UAE Innovates 2021 was an important event to showcase the vision of the UAEs wise leadership and promote innovation as an established culture. He reiterated that AFZ remains dedicated to integrating innovation in the free zones management approach, considering innovation and creativity as the foundation to further growth. He further noted that by tapping the talents and skills of young nationals, the country can develop the most innovative technologies in line with its preparation for the next 50 years and become a global leader by 2071.
H.E. AlSuwaidi added: The UAE Innovates 2021 initiatives were important interactive platforms to inspire the exchange of innovative ideas, enrich knowledge and spread best practices to prepare for the future we want. Innovation is a top priority for us to keep pace with global changes and to enhance competitiveness, flexibility, and to ensure the continuity and sustainability of the national economy.
The events organized by Ajman Free Zone included the Innovation Forum, which was attended by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Free Zone, and showcased the innovations of the local business community, along with many innovative applications in various fields.
Ajman Free Zone also launched a robot called Ghaith which has been designed to provide support and guidance to customers and visitors. The robot was named by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al Nuaimi.
Apart from that, the Ajman Free Zone held several interactive sessions, the most prominent of which included Design Thinking in Services Development; Employing Innovation Skills in Anticipating Future; Innovation in Crises; and the interactive panel discussion How Innovation is Shaping the Future of Free Zones which saw participation from experts from the World Free Zones Organization and Potential.com.
In addition to a panel discussion titled, Corporate Innovation in cooperation with Lloyd's Register, a discussion was also held in cooperation with the Holistic Enterprise, aiming CEOs and entrepreneurs.
Additionally, in cooperation with Ajman Municipality and Planning Department and as part of the UAE Innovates 2021 events, the robot Ghaith received visitors at the heritage neighbourhood in Ajman and delivered an overview of the Ajman Free Zone.
Ajman Free Zone also launched the Innovative Ideas Challenge aimed at encouraging its employees, investors, and companies to come up with new creative ideas that would enhance and shape the future of investments. This eventful agenda reflects Ajman Free Zones highly modern approach to enhance its position as an attractive hub for business, innovation, and technology.
