On the 4th & 5th of November Dubai Electricity and Water Authority is the Gold Sponsor of the 4th Arab Women Leadership Forum

Dubai Women Establishment has announced Dubai Electricity and Water Authority as the Gold Sponsor of the 4th edition of the Arab Women Leadership Forum under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and lead by Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Women Establishment, wife of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, on the 4th and 5th of November 2014 at Godolphin Ballroom located in Emirates Towers.

The two-day forum falls under the theme Towards Global Competitiveness in collaboration with the Strategic Partner Emirates Competitiveness Council, where national and internationally recognized speakers and accomplished women role models will be present, as well as provide a networking opportunity among highly motivated conference attendees and aims to particularly ensure that Emirati women pursue an aggressive growth agenda that positively impacts the ranking of global competitiveness of the United Arab Emirates.

Commenting on the occasion, Shamsa Saleh, CEO of Dubai Women Establishment, said: The participation of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority shows the immense support and belief of womens role within the aggressive growth of the economy in the UAE. She added, The immense support of all organizations will ensure the achievement of our leaderships vision in promoting the UAE nationally and internationally.

In line with its corporate social responsibility strategy and its vision to become a sustainable world-class utility, DEWA launched the Womens Committee to enable women at all professional and social levels, and to serve as an interactive platform for all female employees at DEWA. Here, they can discuss women-related issues, and share their experiences, expertise, and knowledge, with each other. The committee organises events that elevate womens role in society, and encourage contributions and participation of DEWAs female employees at different national and international events, said Khawla Al Mehairi, Vice President of Marketing & Corporate Communications, and Chairperson of the Womens Committee at DEWA.
The Womens Committee supports and empowers female employees at DEWA, reinforces their role and participation in various fields, and raises awareness about the importance of achieving balance between personal and professional development. Their participation in different social activities also helps give a positive image about DEWAs female employee.

DEWA participates in the social development by giving special attention to its social responsibility, as it supports and sponsors many distinct national and international social events. This is why DEWA has sponsored the 4th Arab Women Leadership Forum. Through its collaboration with Dubai Women Establishment, and the Emirates Competitiveness Council, it emphasises its commitment to supporting women and boosting their participation at all levels, and thus highlighting the effective role of the Forum locally and regionally.

DEWA strongly believes in the role Emirati women play in driving the countrys economic growth, inspired by the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, who is at the forefront in supporting womens empowerment and her participation in society. The Arab Women Leadership Forum aims to strengthen the role of womens contribution to the economy, and inspire future generations of women to actively participate in nation building. The forum offers participants to engage in series of thought provoking panel discussions, with distinguished international speakers and leading intellectuals.
