Young UAE inventor Fatima Al Kaabi aims to create AI linked to Emirati culture

Fatima Al Kaabi, a young Emirati inventor in her 20s, is emerging as one of the UAE’s brightest talents in robotics and modern technologies. Combining science with a humanitarian perspective, Fatima has already made significant strides in innovation while actively contributing to her community.

Fatima’s journey began at the age of seven, inspired by her father, an engineer, and her mother, who has a strong interest in technology. Family support, science camps, and workshops nurtured her passion, setting the foundation for a promising career in inventions.

Her first creation, the Photographing Robot, developed in 2012 at a skills development camp at Hamdan Center, combined photography with technology to produce customized souvenirs for visitors. Among her projects, the Assembly Robot holds a special place in her heart, helping sick children at Tawam Hospital in Al Ain continue their education. The project, built around recycling and humanitarian innovation, reflects her commitment to social impact.

Fatima credits her parents, Emirati inventor Mohammed Al Shamsi, and the UAE’s leadership for providing guidance, recognition, and encouragement. Being named the Youngest Emirati Inventor was a turning point, motivating her to pursue further innovations.

Looking ahead, Fatima aspires to launch an artificial intelligence project that celebrates Emirati culture while inspiring the next generation of local innovators. She emphasizes curiosity, experimentation, and leveraging technology as essential tools for aspiring inventors, particularly children and girls eager to enter the world of innovation.

Fatima’s story exemplifies the UAE’s nurturing environment for young talent, where innovation, culture, and community impact converge to shape the country’s future.
