UAE President Sheikh Mohamed arrives in Azerbaijan on official visit

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived in the Republic of Azerbaijan on Tuesday for an official visit, where he was welcomed by President Ilham Aliyev and senior Azerbaijani officials.

Sheikh Mohamed landed at Fuzuli International Airport in the Karabakh region, where he was received with official honors. The visit underscores the strengthening ties between the UAE and Azerbaijan, particularly in the areas of economic cooperation, energy, and regional development.

High-level delegation accompanies UAE leader

The UAE President is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including:

  • Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs

  • Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President

  • Several ministers and senior officials

The visit is expected to include discussions on bilateral relations, regional stability, and potential joint investments across key sectors.

This official trip reflects the UAE’s broader diplomatic outreach in Eurasia, as the nation continues to expand partnerships with strategic countries in the region.
