UAE Opens Doors to Culture with Free Entry to Museums Across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah
As temperatures rise across the UAE, residents and tourists are being offered a refreshing way to beat the heat — through immersive, free museum experiences across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. In celebration of International Museum Day and in a bid to boost cultural engagement, various museums have waived entry fees, allowing visitors to enjoy the country’s rich art, history, and heritage without spending a dirham.
Dubai: A Blend of Modernity and Tradition

Expo 2020 Dubai Museum & Garden in the Sky: Open for free on May 17–18, from 10 AM to 8 PM (museum) and 2 PM to 10 PM (Garden in the Sky). Additional attractions like Terra and Alif are available for a Dh25 fee.

Jameel Arts Centre: Located at Jaddaf Waterfront, this contemporary arts institution welcomes guests free of charge, offering guided tours and exhibitions from 10 AM to 8 PM (Sat–Thu) and from 12 PM to 8 PM on Fridays. Closed Tuesdays.

Coffee Museum: Nestled in the Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, this museum showcases the heritage of coffee with antiques, brewing demos, and cultural exhibits. Open 9 AM to 5 PM, Saturday to Thursday.

Abu Dhabi: Home to Global Masterpieces

Louvre Abu Dhabi: On May 18, UAE residents enjoy free access from 10 AM to midnight, featuring the “Kings and Queens of Africa” exhibition and family-friendly activities like “Picturing the Cosmos”.

Manarat Al Saadiyat: Showcasing the second chapter of the Abu Dhabi Masterpieces Collection, this cultural venue on Saadiyat Island offers daily free entry from 10 AM to 8 PM (children under 10 not allowed).
