UAE Central Bank Launches Commemorative Gold and Silver Coins Honouring Founding Leaders Zayed and Rashid

The Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) has announced the release of special edition gold and silver commemorative coins in honour of the Zayed and Rashid campaign. The initiative pays tribute to the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, pivotal figures in the founding of the UAE.

The coins aim to reinforce national identity and preserve the enduring legacy of the two visionary leaders who laid the foundation for the country’s unity and development.

    • Obverse: Portraits of Sheikh Zayed and Sheikh Rashid

Khaled Mohamed Balama, Governor of the Central Bank, highlighted the symbolic significance of the issuance:
