However, this will no more be a reason to worry as per the announcement last week. According to a senior General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs official, those who want to renew their Emirates ID and residence visa can simply fill up the application form online at the same time without having to visit typing centres. As per this, it comes that all you have to do is visit the GDRFA app, wherein you can get the job done.

Also, the app allows one to apply for visit visas and residence visas from inside and outside the country, while further enabling users to track the progress of their application. The renewal will be done within one to three days, leaving no room for any more delay unlike the two-week waiting time earlier. For companies and sponsors applying for the visas of their staff who are outside the country, procedures are completed within a week.

The chat feature linked to the customer service representative will provide applicants with a platform to track the status as well as get clarified with their related concerns. Applicants are requested to submit all the requirements properly, including a clear scanned copy of the Emirates ID and valid passport, among others.
