The Spain Pavilion unveils itself with a hue of the nations Arabic influence With the commencing date for Dubai Expo 2020 nearing, Spain has revealed its pavilion after Ukraine. The conical structure seeks to tell a story of tolerance, collaboration and progress that has taken place in the country through the ages. The aim is to evoke a feeling of a traditional town square, exploring its interwoven history with the Arab world.

A significant fact about the pavilion is the use of reusable materials for its making, such as wood, iron and fabric. The conically shaped structure to be situated in the Sustainability District has been built so as to increase the air flow to provide an eco-friendly way for visitors to keep themselves cool. The underground positioning will also result in reducing the temperature inside the pavilion.

The pavilion has been set in such a way that visitors get to travel back to the early years of Islamic rule in Spain from the eighth to the 15th centuries. The pavilion will also spotlight Spains cultural roots, as well as its modern-day innovations and environmental initiatives. In order to get rid of a monotonous experience, there will be small urban squares scattered throughout the pavilion where visitors can chat over a coffee and enjoy shopping.
