Abu Dhabi Announces 4-Day Free Parking and Darb Toll Waiver for Eid Al Fitr 2026
Authorities in Abu Dhabi have announced free public parking and suspension of toll charges for four days to mark Eid Al Fitr.
According to Q Mobility, parking fees will be waived from Thursday, March 19, and will resume on Monday, March 23. During the same period, motorists will also benefit from free access through the Darb Toll Gate System.
The initiative is part of festive measures to ease travel and enhance convenience for residents and visitors during the Eid holiday.
In Sharjah, authorities have similarly announced three days of free parking during Eid celebrations, further supporting mobility across the emirate.
Meanwhile, the UAE is set to sight the crescent moon of Shawwal on March 18, which will determine the official start date of Eid Al Fitr this year.
The announcements come as public- and private-sector employees across the country prepare for an extended holiday break, with travel and movement expected to increase significantly.
