UAE Ministry of Sports celebrates first cohort of sports management diploma graduates
Ministry of Sports UAE marked a key milestone in national talent development with the graduation of the first cohort of the ‘Professional Diploma in Sports Management and Analytics’, reinforcing its commitment to building a future-ready sports ecosystem.
The internationally accredited programme, endorsed by EduQual UK, was delivered by the UAE Committee for Talent and Sports Support in collaboration with the Emirates Center for Sports Science and Medicine and Precision Football.
First cohort of 25 graduates recognised
A total of 25 graduates formed the inaugural cohort, highlighting coordinated efforts between national entities and international partners to nurture specialised talent within the UAE’s sports sector.
The ceremony, held in Dubai, was attended by senior officials, federation representatives, and partner organisations, reflecting the growing importance of sports education and analytics in national development.
Leadership emphasises investment in human capital
Ghanim Mubarak Al Hajeri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Sports and Chairman of the Emirates Center for Sports Science and Medicine, praised the graduates for their dedication, describing the programme as a qualitative milestone in advancing human capital.
He noted that such initiatives align with the UAE’s broader vision of placing people at the centre of institutional excellence, enabling a new generation to transform knowledge into practical impact.
Building future-ready sports professionals
Sheikh Suhail bin Butti Al Maktoum, Assistant Undersecretary for Sports Development and Competitiveness and Chairman of UAETSS, highlighted the programme’s role in preparing specialised national cadres, particularly in areas such as sports analytics.
He added that UAETSS fully funded the diploma through scholarships, ensuring accessibility while supporting the development of high-potential Emirati talent.
Blending technology with applied learning
The diploma integrates academic excellence with practical application, equipping participants with skills in data-driven decision-making, sports management, and analytics.
Graduates benefited from learning alongside local and international experts, as well as undertaking applied projects designed to enhance their readiness for the workforce.
Strengthening UAE’s sports ecosystem
The programme contributes to expanding the pool of qualified professionals capable of supporting sports federations, committees, and institutions across the country.
By combining innovation, technology, and education, the initiative aligns with the UAE’s ambition to build an integrated, knowledge-driven sports ecosystem, further reinforcing its position as a regional and global hub for sporting excellence.
