Snowflake launches AWS deployment in UAE, building on $2 billion AWS Marketplace sales

Snowflake has announced the general availability of its AI Data Cloud on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Middle East (UAE) Region, expanding local access to advanced data and artificial intelligence capabilities for organisations across the country.

The launch strengthens Snowflake’s long-term partnership with AWS and follows strong global momentum between the two companies. Snowflake said its transaction growth on AWS Marketplace doubled year-on-year, surpassing $2 billion in global sales within a single calendar year.

The UAE has emerged as one of the most proactive adopters of artificial intelligence as a driver of economic growth, guided by the National AI Strategy 2031. As demand rises for secure, governed, and AI-ready data environments, Snowflake’s deployment on the AWS Middle East (UAE) Region aims to support enterprises in accelerating data-driven innovation while meeting data residency and regulatory requirements.

By operating locally on AWS infrastructure, customers can benefit from reduced data latency, improved performance, and closer proximity to their data, enabling more efficient analytics and AI workloads.

Strengthening Snowflake–AWS collaboration

The UAE launch highlights the expanding collaboration between Snowflake and AWS, which has been recognised with 14 AWS partner awards across technology, industry, and regional categories, including multiple AWS Partner of the Year honours.

Through AWS Marketplace, customers can more easily procure and deploy Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud while accessing deep integrations with AWS services. The two companies are working closely to deliver interoperable data architectures that allow enterprises to scale AI innovation securely and cost-effectively.

Recent joint innovations include enhanced data catalog integrations designed to reduce complexity and data movement. Customers can now access Iceberg-format data across Snowflake and AWS using a unified catalog approach, helping organisations minimise duplication, streamline governance, and manage large-scale data environments more efficiently.

As enterprises across the UAE and wider region accelerate their AI adoption, Snowflake’s availability on the AWS Middle East (UAE) Region is expected to play a key role in supporting secure, compliant, and high-performance data strategies.
