Six government entities provide 30 additional incentives for Taqdeer Award winning distinguished companies and workers
Six new government entities are offering 30 incentives to distinguished companies and workers who will emerge winners of the 5th edition of the Taqdeer Award 2022. Taking the total tally of incentives to 65, the government incentives worth tens of millions of dirhams annually comes in the form of discounts and special facilities offered to companies and workers.
The incentives and facilities offered by the Taqdeer Award, held every two years under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council, supports excellence and leadership in the labour sector and aims to motivate labour-intensive companies to positively compete and feature on the Awards excellence honouring platform.
Over 45,000 companies and factories and tens of thousands of workers in four key economic sectors- contracting, factories, free zones and companies working in the field of labour-intensive supply- are set to benefit from the government incentives and benefits offered to distinguished companies and workers winners of 4-and 5-star ratings in each edition of the Award.
Aiming to consolidate the culture of excellence in the labour sector, the number of government entities sponsoring the Award goes up to 10: Dubai Health Authority, Dubai Customs, Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority, Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, Dubai Civil Defence and Dubai Media Incorporated. Four entities that supported the 2020 edition were the Road and Transport Authority, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Dubai Municipality and the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA-Dubai).
Details about the incentives were unveiled at a special meeting hosted by Dubai Media Incorporated at the signing of Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) with sponsoring government entities in the presence of the Awards Chairman, His Excellency Major General Obaid Muhair bin Suroor, Deputy Director-General of General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA-Dubai). The meeting was attended by representatives of three leading private sector organizations that contributed towards offering benefits to workers - Dr Yousef M. Al-Assaf, President, Rochester Institute of Technology-Dubai; Dr Sherbaz Bichu, CEO, Aster Hospitals & Clinics; and Mr Shams El Din Bin Mohi El-Din, Chairman, Grand Hyper Group.
The award is sponsored by Mansouri Company as Platinum Sponsor, emaratech as Gold Sponsor, Emirates NBD as Silver Sponsor, Rochester Institute of Technology of Dubai, Aster Group and Grand Hyper Group as sponsors offering educational, health and merchandise discounts.
