SAS Hackathon and Emirates Health Services Shape the Future of Healthcare in the UAE
Emirates Health Services, in collaboration with SAS, a global leader in analytics, successfully concluded the "Innovation in Health, Safety, and Environment Hackathon." The three-day event showcased the transformative potential of advanced analytics and its role in shaping the healthcare landscape in the UAE, aligning with the "We the UAE 2031" vision to enhance healthcare efficiency and quality.
The hackathon brought together multidisciplinary experts and teams from healthcare institutions to develop data-driven solutions addressing real-life challenges. Utilizing SAS Viya, a unified analytics platform, participants had access to tools and training that foster innovation in healthcare.
Dr. Sarah Ali Al Shaya, Director of the Data and Statistics Department at Emirates Health Services, commented:

Participants employed advanced analytics to improve patient outcomes and overall healthcare experiences, including reducing emergency department wait times, optimizing bed allocation, and predicting patient length of stay.
