Samsung to Elevate Athlete and Fan Experience at Paris 2024 Paralympic Games

Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., a longstanding Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner, is set to enhance the experience of athletes and fans at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games with the introduction of the Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition and a series of interactive pop-up experiences across the city. As a committed supporter of the Paralympic Movement, Samsung aims to create unforgettable memories for participants and spectators alike.

Under the theme “Open always wins,” Samsung will emphasize the power of open-mindedness and resilience, qualities exemplified by the Paralympians. The company will leverage its cutting-edge mobile technology to enrich the Games-time experience, offering athletes and fans new ways to connect and engage with the Paralympic spirit.

"Samsung has proudly supported the Paralympic Games for nearly two decades," said Stephanie Choi, EVP & Head of Marketing of Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics. "We are honored to enhance the experience for athletes, fans, and volunteers at Paris 2024 with our latest technology, bringing the world closer to the inspiring stories and achievements of Paralympians."

Support for Paralympic Athletes and the Paralympic Movement

Continuing its 18-year partnership with the Paralympic Games, Samsung has consistently used its technology to foster engagement and raise awareness of the Paralympic Movement. At Paris 2024, Samsung will provide nearly 5,000 Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition smartphones to participating athletes. These devices, equipped with advanced AI features and accessibility tools, will help athletes navigate their Games-time experience and stay connected.

Features like Interpreter[1], which provides real-time translation, and Bixby Vision for Accessibility, which offers audio descriptions of surroundings, will ensure that all Paralympians can fully enjoy and participate in the Games. Additionally, the Relúmĭno outline feature will assist athletes with low vision by enhancing screen contrast and visibility.

Interactive Fan Experiences

Samsung will also engage fans through its Olympic™ rendezvous @ Samsung pop-up sites at Square Marigny and Champs-Élysées 125. These fully accessible locations will offer visitors the chance to explore Samsung’s Olympic and Paralympic heritage, participate in Galaxy AI experiences, and collect specially designed pins representing Paralympic sports. Fans will have the opportunity to win a Galaxy Z Flip6 and a trip to the Milano Cortina 2026 Games.

The Olympic™ rendezvous @ Samsung | Square Marigny is open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. until September 8, while the Champs-Élysées 125 location is open Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. until October 31.
