Salesforce Agentforce Coworker usage grows 21-fold as global user base exceeds 185,000
Salesforce has reported a 21-fold increase in monthly usage of its Agentforce Coworker service over three months, with the platform now supporting more than 185,000 users worldwide as businesses increasingly delegate operational tasks to artificial intelligence (AI).
The company said usage has grown by an average of 2.8 times each month during the period. Global organisations, including The Adecco Group, Accenture, Fulton Bank and BACA Systems, are already using the service across their teams.
The growth comes as the UAE accelerates its AI adoption and digital economy ambitions. According to PwC estimates cited by Salesforce, AI could contribute $96 billion to the UAE economy by 2030, equivalent to 13.6 per cent of gross domestic product (GDP).
The UAE Digital Economy Strategy aims to double the digital economy's contribution to non-oil GDP to 20 per cent by 2030. Dubai has also appointed chief AI officers across 22 government entities. Meanwhile, IDC forecasts that AI spending across the Middle East will reach $11.4 billion by 2027, with the UAE and Saudi Arabia identified as the region's fastest-growing markets.
AI moves from experimentation to business operations
Mohammed Alkhotani, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Salesforce Middle East, said businesses in the UAE were increasingly focused on how AI could be trusted with operational work while maintaining governance and security.
He said Agentforce Coworker uses existing business context and operates within an organisation's established permissions and controls, allowing companies to deploy it more quickly.
Agentforce Coworker is designed as an AI teammate that can receive assignments, plan tasks, coordinate specialised AI agents and workflows, and return results and recommended actions for users to review and approve.
Integrated into Salesforce and Data 360, the service can access business information such as customer accounts, sales pipelines, service cases, contracts and organisational rules. It operates within existing security and governance frameworks, according to the company.
New features expand access and functionality
Salesforce has announced several new capabilities for Agentforce Coworker, including integration with Microsoft Teams. The feature will allow users to delegate tasks, coordinate agents and work with Salesforce information without leaving the collaboration platform.
Microsoft 365 connectivity is scheduled to arrive later in November 2026, adding access to emails, calendars and files linked to customer accounts.
The company is also introducing iOS mobile applications and Mac and Windows desktop applications, expected later this month, to allow users to manage delegated work across devices.
Other updates include Google Workspace connectivity and a History feature that allows users to continue previous conversations without restarting. A Coworker MCP server is also planned to connect the service to additional data sources.
Salesforce said new Skills functionality will allow users to turn established workflows into reusable, shareable requests. From December 2026, scheduled tasks will support recurring work, while a Daily Digest will provide users with a summary of their priorities each morning.
