Elgi Equipments launches Demand=Match technology in Middle East and Africa

Air compressor manufacturer Elgi Equipments has introduced its patented Demand=Match technology to the Middle East and Africa at Gulfood Manufacturing 2026 in Dubai, highlighting potential energy savings of up to 17% for industrial users.

The technology is designed to adjust compressed air delivery according to changing factory requirements, helping manufacturers improve energy efficiency, reduce operating costs and extend equipment life.

Available on the company's EG Series fixed-speed air compressors, ranging from 11 to 75 kW, and EQ Series models from 11 to 45 kW, the system aims to address fluctuations in compressed air demand without compromising the reliability of fixed-speed technology.

The launch is taking place at Gulfood Manufacturing 2026, held from November 3 to 5 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Technology targets energy waste in manufacturing

Compressed air demand can vary across food and beverage manufacturing, packaging and other industrial operations as production requirements change.

According to Elgi, conventional fixed-speed compressors typically respond to these fluctuations through load-and-unload cycling, which can lead to pressure variations, energy wastage and additional wear on equipment components.

Demand=Match uses patented airflow regulation and internal recirculation to manage excess compressed air, maintain stable pressure and reduce unnecessary compressor cycling.

The EG Series compressors equipped with the technology have demonstrated energy savings of up to 17% under applicable operating conditions, the company said.

Reduced mechanical stress is also expected to help extend equipment life, while lower energy consumption and maintenance requirements can contribute to reduced lifecycle costs.

Focus on manufacturing efficiency

Bhavesh Karia, Executive President – ISAAME and SEA at Elgi Equipments, said food manufacturers across the Gulf were increasingly focused on improving productivity, lowering energy consumption and maintaining consistent product quality.

He said the company's engagement with regional customers had helped it understand operational challenges and identify areas where efficiency improvements could deliver meaningful benefits.

Karia added that Demand=Match was developed to align compressed air supply with actual production requirements, helping manufacturers reduce energy use and operating costs while maintaining equipment reliability.

Visitors to Gulfood Manufacturing 2026 can meet the Elgi team at Hall 3, Stand D3-46, to learn about the technology and its applications across food and beverage production and other industrial sectors.
