Robo.ai appoints W Motors founder Ralph R. Debbas as group president

UAE-based, Nasdaq-listed Robo.ai Inc. has appointed Ralph R. Debbas, founder of W Motors, as its group president, strengthening its leadership team as it advances artificial intelligence commercialisation and industrial development in the UAE.

The appointment, effective immediately, will see Debbas focus on the group's industrial strategy, international partnerships and coordination across its businesses, supporting the development of its AI and advanced manufacturing operations.

Debbas founded W Motors in 2012 and led the development of the Lykan HyperSport, the supercar that gained international recognition for its design and appearance in the film Furious 7.

He subsequently expanded W Motors into an integrated automotive company covering design, research and development, engineering and manufacturing.

Debbas brings UAE automotive manufacturing experience

At W Motors, Debbas led the development of an integrated automotive manufacturing facility in Dubai. He also spearheaded the GHIATH smart patrol vehicle programme with Dubai Police, taking the vehicle from development into local production and delivery.

Robo.ai CEO Benjamin Zhai said Debbas' experience in turning innovative product concepts into operating industrial businesses in the UAE aligned with the group's development plans.

Zhai said the company's priorities include increasing customer adoption, strengthening local delivery capabilities and expanding businesses that are already generating revenue.

He added that Debbas' leadership would support execution and operational performance, with a focus on creating long-term value for shareholders.

Robo.ai advances industrial and AI projects

The appointment comes as Robo.ai reports progress across several of its businesses.

ALIF Holding has held a groundbreaking ceremony for the first phase of its industrial park in Umm Al Quwain and announced plans to establish ALIF Composites, a composites manufacturing business.

Meanwhile, Neurovia AI has launched its NeuroStream platform, completed live technical validation and is progressing applications for its visual data technology.

The operating businesses of Quantum Core Capital (QC Capital) also continue to contribute revenue, according to the company.

Robo.ai said it would focus on customer development, production readiness and technology commercialisation according to the development stage of each business.

Debbas said the UAE had the ambition and capabilities to develop industries that could compete internationally. He added that Robo.ai's AI technologies, industrial plans and operating businesses provided a foundation for pursuing opportunities in the sector.

He said his priorities would include developing products that address customer needs, integrating international technical expertise into local operations and building long-term customer relationships.

Group plans greater investor engagement

Robo.ai said the appointment would help connect international technology resources with regional industrial requirements as its projects progress.

The company also plans to share commercial and technical developments with the market as appropriate.

Debbas intends to engage more directly with shareholders and investors through video updates covering the group's business progress and key milestones, providing further insight into the development of its operations.
