MultiBank Exchange's trading and settlement services
Part of MultiBank Group, MultiBank Exchange is an interbank trading platform serving banks, financial institutions, hedge funds, family offices and derivatives brokers. It connects more than 30 tier-one banks and liquidity providers, offering access to over 250 currencies and daily trading volumes of up to $21 billion (AED77 billion).
According to the company, the platform is the world's first interbank trading platform to offer double exotic currency pairs with settlement in both fiat currencies and digital assets. Its matching engine operates at 400 nanoseconds, which the Group describes as the fastest in interbank trading history.
The platform also offers credit and settlement services to all its counterparties, the company said.
MultiBank Exchange combines institutional liquidity with settlement services through the Group's regulated subsidiaries in Australia, Singapore and the UAE. It also supports digital-asset settlement, which the Group describes as a first for an interbank trading platform in emerging markets.
Focus on international expansion
Naser Taher said the board brings together experience to guide the exchange's development and international expansion.
He said the Group aims to strengthen connections between financial institutions across the GCC, BRICS and other emerging markets and the global financial system, with a focus on developing the technology, liquidity and settlement infrastructure required for greater participation in international markets.
Mohammed Al Hakim, Vice Chairman of MultiBank Group and CEO of mb.io, said financial institutions in emerging markets need improved access to global liquidity and more options for settling cross-border transactions.
Through MultiBank Exchange, the Group aims to connect traditional and digital finance and make it easier for institutions to trade across markets and serve their clients.
