The Royal Automobile Museum commemorates World Cancer Day
Amman, Jordan (February 2015) - The Royal Automobile Museum commemorated World cancer day through providing support for the patients of King Hussein Cancer Foundation, raising awareness on the importance of detecting the disease, and contributing to the promotion of the spirit of cooperation and social solidarity towards this humanitarian issue.
The Royal Automobile Museums support came through the allocation of its proceeds for three consecutive days (4th, 5th, and 6th of February 2015) for the benefit of cancer patients. Also, during the same period the museum screened a documentary about the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and its active role in the treatment of cancer patients, and its contributions to putting a smile on the faces of sick children and making their dreams come true.
The museum believes that it is its duty to support to all segments of the society, particularly cancer patients. The museum recalls His Majesty the Late King Hussein bin Talal (May his soul rest in peace) as the ultimate heroic example of facing this disease with courage and strength.
The Director of the educational programs department at the Royal Automobile Museum, Ms. Alaa Mansour said: "All segments of the community must cooperate and stand in solidarity to help patients overcome this disease. Hence, the Royal Automobile Museum is keen to provide its support even for a small part of the treatment, and follow the example of His Majesty King Abdullah II Bin Al Hussein (May God protect him) who has preceded everyone in his continuous efforts to put a smile on the faces of sick children.
The museum is open daily from 10:00 am until 7:00 pm, except on Tuesday.
