PCFC to participate in GITEX Technology Exhibition 2015 under one umbrella

Dubai 10 October 2015: Under the motto Unique Trade Supply Chain, the Ports, Customs & Free Zone Corporation (PCFC) will be taking part in GITEX 2015, scheduled to be held on October 18 -22, in Dubai World Trade Centre. The PCFC pavilion will be located in CC2-5.

Five of PCFCs entities will participate in the 35th GITEX Technology Exhibition, namely Dubai Customs, Department of Planning and Development Trakhees, DP World, Dubai Maritime City Authority and Dubai Trade. Throughout the GITEX week, these entities will showcase their development initiatives aiming to ease and facilitate the services provided to customers.

Concerning the participation of PCFC in GITEX 2015, His Excellency Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Chairman of DP World and Chairman of Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation, asserted that PCFC is keen to mark strong presence in GITEX 2015, which is the perfect platform to get introduced to others experiences in integrating cutting-edge technologies into daily work processes, as well as to present the exhibitions national and international visitors with our latest work updates to provide our customers with the best services possible.

Bin Sulayem added that the participation of PCFCs different entities as one unit highlights their keen desire to deepen forms of cooperation among one another, and then provide customers with integrated, coherent services supporting the trade supply chain.

His Excellency Sultan Ahmad Bin Sulayem then pointed out that PCFC, in collaboration with other government entities, strives to achieve the objectives of UAE Vision 2021 and Dubai Plan 2021 and supports Expo 2020 hosted by Dubai, contributing to achieving Dubais sustainable economic development plan, boosting the business sector, and escalating the positive economic indices.

During their participation in GITEX, PCFC entities will, for the first time, unveil a number of smart initiatives, projects and services as part of our strategy to fully satisfy our customers and encourage means of creativity and innovation, and this can be possible by providing the best services with the least efforts and costs as quickly as possible, said His Excellency.

Bin Sulayem further explained that GITEX Exhibition is an extensive technology platform where the Corporation, its entities, and other participants get a golden opportunity to recognize the worlds latest hi-tech and IT products. Participants also have the chance to know how to best use such products to develop work processes in government departments and institutions.

PCFC races against time to keep up with the worlds latest technological developments in the customer service industry. Not to mention that the constant technological developments taking place in Dubai will definitely strengthen its competitiveness as well as its ability to attract trade and investment opportunities from all over the world. PCFC also encourages customer engagement in the different stages of the smart transformation program, where services can be provided via smartphones, His Excellency Bin Sulayem highlighted.
