Moro Hub Awards Green Certificate to National Bonds for Sustainable IT Practices

Moro Hub, a subsidiary of Digital DEWA, the digital arm of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (PJSC), has presented a Green Certificate to National Bonds, the UAE’s leading Shari’a-compliant savings and investment company. This certificate recognizes National Bonds' efforts in reducing their carbon footprint by choosing Moro Hub's Green Data Centers for their IT workloads.

The certificate was presented by Mohammed Almalik, Chief Information Security Officer at Moro Hub, to Naru Srinivasan, Group Chief Operating Officer at National Bonds. The award highlights National Bonds’ decision to utilize Moro Hub’s Green Data Centers, which are expected to reduce carbon emissions by 67,205 KgCO2e during the hosting period from March 1, 2022, to May 17, 2025.

Moro Hub’s Green Data Center, certified as the world’s largest solar-powered data center by Guinness World Records, offers cutting-edge technologies that promote sustainability. This facility plays a crucial role in accelerating the adoption of digital technologies, especially for government and enterprise clients.

Mohammed Bin Sulaiman, CEO of Moro Hub, praised National Bonds for their commitment to sustainability, saying, “By choosing Moro Hub's Green Data Centers, National Bonds is contributing to a greener future while embracing advanced technology. This partnership demonstrates the positive impact that eco-conscious decisions can have on the digital landscape."

This initiative is part of Moro Hub’s broader commitment to promoting renewable energy and fostering a culture of environmental responsibility in line with the UAE Green Agenda 2030.
