Emirates Health Services Board Reviews Financial and Institutional Performance for H1 2024

The Board of Directors of Emirates Health Services (EHS) convened for its fifth meeting of 2024, chaired by H.E. Dr. Mohammad Salim Al Olama, Chairman of the Board, and attended by H.E. Dr. Yousif Mohammed Al Serkal, Director General of EHS, alongside other board members. The meeting focused on reviewing institutional performance reports and financial assessments for the first half of the year, aligning with the board’s strategic goals to enhance the UAE’s healthcare sector and boost its global competitiveness.

H.E. Dr. Al Olama highlighted the board's commitment to transforming innovation into institutional practice, aiming to improve healthcare services through investments in human resources and advanced technologies. These initiatives support operational efficiency and elevate patient care experiences, reinforcing the UAE's readiness to tackle future healthcare challenges and cementing its leadership in the sector.

H.E. Dr. Al Serkal reiterated the organization’s dedication to implementing global best practices in healthcare, guided by the UAE’s "We the UAE" 2031 vision and the UAE Centennial Plan 2071. He stressed the importance of collaboration across stakeholders in building a sustainable and efficient healthcare ecosystem for future generations.

Key agenda items included reviewing recommendations from the Audit and Risk Committee and the Development and Improvement Committee. Additionally, financial performance data was analyzed to help shape strategic plans and improve institutional efficiency.

The board also celebrated key achievements from the last three months, including the receipt of eight international accreditations and awards. Among the highlights were an international ranking in institutional resilience, ISO certification in Artificial Intelligence Management Systems, and the Dr. Prathap C. Reddy Excellence Award for the E-ETMNAN platform, underscoring EHS’s role in advancing sustainable development and reinforcing the UAE’s prominence in global healthcare.
