Ministry of Education Launches 2025 Summer Abroad Programme for Top Public School Students
The UAE Ministry of Education (MoE) has officially launched the 2025 Summer Abroad Programme, selecting 270 top-performing Grade 10 and 11 public school students to participate in a unique global learning initiative. The programme aims to enrich the academic experience of students by providing world-class educational training at prestigious international universities and research institutions.
Taking place in July and August, the Summer Abroad Programme is part of MoE’s broader vision to prepare future generations to lead national development and excel in global innovation ecosystems. Students will engage in intensive training in fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), leadership, and entrepreneurship, while also building global knowledge networks and gaining exposure to diverse cultural perspectives.
“This programme offers students hands-on training at top international scientific institutes, fostering academic growth, personal development, and broader cultural and scientific perspectives,” said Her Excellency Sarah Al Amiri, Minister of Education.
This year, the programme spans six global innovation hubs: Singapore, China, Japan, South Korea, Russia, and Malaysia. Participating students are accompanied by 29 trained academic supervisors, ensuring structured support throughout their experience.
For the first time, the 2025 edition also includes students of determination in Japan and South Korea, reflecting the MoE’s inclusive educational approach and commitment to equal opportunities in international academic development.
By equipping students with early access to international learning environments, the programme aims to help them make informed career decisions, strengthen their personal and academic competencies, and develop the long-term skills needed to thrive in an innovation-driven future.
