Milaha showcases marine services at 2015 Qatar International Boat Show

Milaha, a Qatar-based aquatic transportation and logistics conglomerate, showed its core marine services, especially in ship repair services, to company visitors during the Qatar International Boat Show 2015, the Middle East's premier yachting way of life event, which was held at Mourjan Marinas in Lusail City, Doha, Qatar from 10 to 14 November.

Milaha's Mesaieed-based ship repair facility, which is a favored backyard by significant yacht owners in Qatar, began operations in 1978 and has fixed more than 6,600 ships over the past 37 years. The shipyard has gotten several accreditations for many years and expanded its thorough line of services for yachts & conventional dhows including covered air-conditioned facilities for hull repair works & painting, equipment & piping repair services, electrical repair works, HVAC services, refits & conversion, standard wooden boats repairs & outfitting, to name a few.

Milaha's President and CEO Mr. Abdulrahman Essa Al-Mannai stated: "We are pleased to have actually participated in this year's Qatar International Boat Show which has developed itself as an essential event in the local maritime industry. Our shipyard has come a long way because its establishment in 1978 and we are here to promote the services it offers to ship owners and market specialists both in Qatar and more generally in the area.".

For his part, Michel Deleuran, Executive Vice President, Maritime said: "Qatar International Boat Show 2015 was a chance for us to showcase our services to existing and possible clients. We provide a high quality of services at our ship repair work facilities and that is what made us a backyard of option for overseas vessels and other little to medium-sized vessels in the sub-150m LOA classification.".

This year's Qatar International Boat Show was held under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the State of Qatar. The premier market event, which closed business deals worth more than QAR 80 million in its 2014 edition, hosted over 90 companies, 120 brands and 85 boats both on land and in water. The program had a family-friendly environment, featuring exciting activities, a children's play area, and a large range of food and drink outlets.
