MENA Blockchain Week transforms Dubai into a city-wide blockchain venue
Dubai is set to become a major hub for blockchain innovation as MENA Blockchain Week (MENABCW) officially launches, bringing together more than 40 events, 5,000 attendees, and 100+ global speakers across the emirate.
Organised by SkyNet X Solutions (SNXS), with Dubai Business Events (DBE) — part of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism — serving as the official destination partner, the initiative introduces a decentralised, city-wide format aimed at connecting blockchain innovators, investors, developers, and policymakers under one coordinated campaign.
Unlike traditional conferences hosted at a single venue, MENABCW transforms Dubai itself into the event space, enabling independent organisers, blockchain projects, and community leaders to host simultaneous events across multiple locations throughout the city.
The initiative aligns with the UAE’s Proud of UAE campaign and the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, supporting the country’s efforts to strengthen innovation, digital transformation, and emerging technology sectors.
Dubai’s growing status as a global blockchain destination has been supported by progressive regulations introduced through the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority, alongside continued institutional backing and international investment in digital assets and Web3 technologies.
Decentralised event model across Dubai
MENABCW operates through a four-layer ecosystem designed to distribute value and participation across organisers, venues, institutions, and communities.
The structure includes:
- Layer 0: Campaign infrastructure managed by SkyNet X Solutions (SNXS), including sponsor coordination and campaign identity, with venues such as Hadron Founders Club, Unbox Community, 25hours Hotel Dubai One Central, and Dubai Founders HQ hosting events.
- Layer 1: Independent organisers and blockchain communities running events with full creative freedom under the MENABCW banner.
- Layer 2: Institutional and government partners including Dubai Blockchain Center and the UAE Blockchain and AI Association.
- Layer 3: Founders, investors, developers, institutions, and policymakers attending events throughout the week.
Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, said the initiative reflects Dubai’s growing position as a global destination for blockchain innovation and international business events.
Dr. Marwan Alzarouni, CEO of the Dubai Blockchain Center, described the initiative as a natural extension of Dubai’s blockchain leadership, highlighting the city’s collaborative and scalable ecosystem.
Dr. Mohamed Al Hemairy, Chairman of the UAE Blockchain and AI Association, said the event demonstrates Dubai’s role in building resilient ecosystems that support innovation in blockchain and artificial intelligence.
Mohamad Alhusseini (MoeX), Founder and CEO of SkyNet X Solutions and Founder of MENABCW, said the initiative was created by the ecosystem itself during a challenging market period, reflecting Dubai’s culture of continuous innovation and growth.
