Madinat Jumeirah, the Arabian Resort of Dubai, ushered in the New Year in grand style as a spectacular fireworks show lit up the night sky above the resort to celebrate the arrival of 2016.
Traditionally, one of the longest pyrotechnics display in the UAE on New Years Eve, the multi-coloured spectacle was synchronized to a special score of bespoke music as thousands of spectators enjoyed the wonderful visual treat from various locations within and outside of the resort for a total duration of 12 minutes.
Choreographed using 4215 shells, the fireworks ranged from 25 meters to 300 meters in height and were set off from 12 pontoons and 5 boats with carefully planned intervals to create the perfect harmony between the chosen colours and music.
