Kleindienst Group and RAK Ports Sign Landmark MOU for Floating Residences and GCC's First Giga-Yacht

Kleindienst Group, the visionary developer behind The Heart of Europe project, has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with RAK Ports to establish a state-of-the-art maritime facility in Ras Al Khaimah. This collaboration marks a significant milestone, as it includes the construction of the first-ever giga-yacht in the GCC region.

The new shipyard will feature four distinct sections. The "Viking" section will focus on designing and constructing a 144-meter giga-yacht, positioning Ras Al Khaimah alongside the Netherlands, Germany, and Italy as one of the few regions worldwide capable of building such luxury vessels. Currently, there are fewer than 100 giga-yachts globally.

Josef Kleindienst, Founder and Chairman of Kleindienst Group, expressed gratitude to the UAE leadership for creating a business-friendly environment that fosters innovative maritime, tourism, and hospitality projects. "We are thrilled to partner with RAK Ports in this groundbreaking venture. This collaboration underscores our commitment to advancing the marine industry and fostering economic growth in the UAE," he stated.

The second section, named “Coral Garden,” will focus on constructing unique underwater living experiences such as the Floating Seahorse Villas, Floating Venice resort, and Floating Lido hotel. This section will also support coral gardens and reefs transported from The Heart of Europe project, a $6 billion destination within The World Islands off the coast of Dubai.

The "Tug" section will handle the construction of barges, supply, and transportation vessels, aiming to more than double Kleindienst Group’s current fleet. The "Ferry" section will be dedicated to passenger transportation, fishing boats, and sailing and diving boats, supporting the anticipated growth of Dubai's diving industry with new reef areas.

Roy Anthony Cummins, CEO of RAK Ports, welcomed the partnership, stating, "This partnership aligns with our vision to develop world-class infrastructure and attract leading global enterprises. The establishment of this maritime facility will bring significant economic and employment benefits to the region."

Additionally, Kleindienst Group announced the establishment of a Maritime Academy at the shipyard, partnering with industry professionals to ensure the highest standards of quality and expertise. A Supervisory Board has also been formed, comprising highly respected members with decades of experience in large-scale projects globally.

Looking ahead, Kleindienst Group is committed to exploring further partnership opportunities to revolutionize innovation and sustainability within the marine sector in the UAE and beyond.
