John Crane and Seven Seas Petroleum to Showcase Advanced Sensor Technologies at OPES 2025 in Oman
John Crane, a global leader in mission-critical technologies for the energy and process industries and part of Smiths Group plc, is set to exhibit its latest sensor innovations at the Oman Petroleum & Energy Show (OPES) 2025. The company will share a dedicated booth with its regional partner, Seven Seas Petroleum LLC, to demonstrate its cutting-edge solutions that drive reliability and sustainability in the energy sector.
Visitors to OPES 2025 will have the opportunity to witness live demonstrations of John Crane’s pioneering Sense Turbo and Sense Monitor technologies. The Sense Turbo is a sensor suite embedded within dry gas seals, while the Sense Monitor extends monitoring capabilities to a broader range of plant assets. Both technologies are designed to deliver real-time data on the health of compressor gas seals—critical in minimizing methane emissions and extending the operational lifespan of equipment.
The exhibition will take place at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, Madinat Al Irfan, within the Petroleum & Energy Blue Zone. Attendees can find John Crane and Seven Seas Petroleum at booth 3310.
Amjad AlQaqa’a, Vice President of Sales for the Middle East & Africa at John Crane, emphasized the significance of live product demonstrations. “Being able to demonstrate our industry-leading technologies at a major, in-person event like OPES 2025 is invaluable. It reflects not just our commitment to innovation, but also the strength of our partnerships—particularly with Seven Seas Petroleum. Together, we provide customers with the actionable insights needed to reduce emissions, enhance reliability, and generate long-term value,” he said.
Echoing this sentiment, Harith Al Suleimany, Executive Director at Seven Seas Petroleum LLC, highlighted the importance of showcasing innovation. “Presenting cutting-edge technologies at OPES 2025 underscores our focus on industry advancement and transformative growth. With our esteemed partner John Crane, we aim to spotlight innovations that bring substantial benefits to both greenfield and brownfield projects, offering potential reductions in CAPEX and OPEX,” he noted.
