IBM Unveils Granite 3.0 AI Models with Enhanced Performance and Business Solutions

 IBM (NYSE: IBM) has announced the release of Granite 3.0, the company's most advanced family of AI models, at its annual TechXchange event. The new models, including Granite 3.0 8B and 2B, deliver high performance for enterprise tasks such as Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), classification, and entity extraction, while maintaining transparency and safety. Released under the Apache 2.0 license, Granite 3.0 is designed to integrate seamlessly with enterprise data and provide businesses with efficient AI-driven solutions.

Granite Guardian 3.0 models introduce industry-leading safety and risk detection features, including social bias and harm prevention, raising the bar for AI safety. IBM also unveiled Granite 3.0 Mixture-of-Experts models for low-latency applications and Granite Time Series models, which outperformed competitors in forecasting accuracy.

In addition, IBM launched the next generation of its watsonx Code Assistant, now powered by Granite AI, providing enhanced coding support across multiple programming languages. The Granite models will also serve as the backbone of IBM Consulting Advantage, an AI-powered delivery platform used by 160,000 consultants globally.
