Hytera and Cable & Wireless Seychelles Sign MoU at MWC25 to Accelerate Digital Transformation
Hytera Communications (SZSE: 002583), a global leader in professional communications technologies and solutions, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cable & Wireless Seychelles (CWS), the country’s pioneering quad-play telecommunications operator. This strategic partnership aims to enhance digital transformation efforts across Seychelles' enterprise and government sectors.
The MoU establishes a framework to drive digital innovation through key initiatives. A primary focus of the collaboration is the development of a resilient Seychelles Emergency Communication Redundant Network, ensuring uninterrupted communication during critical situations such as natural disasters. Additionally, the partnership will introduce tailored communication solutions for vital sectors, including public safety, energy, transportation, and tourism.
Hytera will supply advanced technologies, including Push-to-Talk over Cellular (PoC) devices, Mission Critical Services (MCX) core networks, and cloud-based platforms. These solutions will integrate seamlessly with CWS’s existing 4G/5G public networks while facilitating the expansion of private network capabilities in the future.
The MoU was signed at MWC 2025 in Barcelona by Mr. Naadir Hassan, Chief Executive Officer at CWS, Mr. Oliver Fock-Tave, Associate Director of Products & Services and Information Systems at CWS, and Mr. Tony Wang, Business Development Director of Hytera. The signing took place during Hytera’s showcase of its mission-critical portfolio, which includes 4G/5G, MCX, PoC technologies, as well as Body-worn Camera (BWC) and Digital Evidence Management (DEM) solutions.
