flyadeal Works Around the Clock to Implement Airbus A320 Directive
flyadeal announced that it has completed the mandatory software updates required for its Airbus A320 aircraft, following a directive issued by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) late on November 28. The airline confirmed that it expects full operational normalcy to resume by midnight on November 29.
According to the airline, only 13 of its 43 aircraft were affected by the directive. flyadeal’s operations, engineering and customer experience teams worked continuously to minimise disruption to passengers while ensuring compliance with the global safety requirement.
The airline stated that customers were informed directly via email and SMS, with rebooking and support options provided as needed. To maintain schedule integrity, flyadeal also reaccommodated passengers on widebody wet-lease aircraft operating as replacement flights.
flyadeal noted that its priority throughout the process has been operational safety and the protection of customers travelling on the affected day. The airline confirmed that no flights scheduled for Sunday, 30 November, will be impacted.
In its statement, flyadeal expressed appreciation to its teams for their swift and diligent work under challenging circumstances, and extended thanks to airport partners, regulators and Airbus for their ongoing support.
