ENOC Group on track with retail extension plans

ENOC Group today published its plans to open 40 new military stations by the end of next year, which will expand its retail network to 192 stations.

The Group is on track with its plans to open 16 service locations across Dubai, Sharjah, and the Northern Emirates by end of this year, as well as to open an extra 24 service locations by end of 2021.

The extension of the service station network reemphasises the Group’s dedication to helping the nation in creating a strong fuel retail base and will provide to the increasing demand for fuel across the country.

His Excellency Saif Humaid Al Falasi, the Group CEO, ENOC Group, said: “As a head energy player, we are dedicated to promoting robust retail support to serve the UAE for the next 50 years in association with the vision and goals of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

“We guarantee to assure that consumers have a way to an unending supply of fuel as well as access to best-in-class automotive and retail services. Notwithstanding the challenging times, we have shown our flexibility and remain dedicated to assisting the nation.”

The Group plans to build two marine stations at Dubai Harbour and Umm Suqeim to serve marine fueling needs of boat and yacht owners. Both services will be operational by the end of September.

The new military stations will follow global best patients in retail fuel services in development and industrialisation standards and will be implemented with CCTV monitoring as well as automatic number plate discovery cameras to guarantee high security.

The services will also feature new-generation vendors with retractable hoses to refuel cars on both sides. The fuel system has been created to allow the highest safe flow rate as per the National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA) measures to reduce the overall refuelling time. Backed by its Auto Tank Gauging and automatic leak detection system, the fuel system is completely automated and decreases the potential for human error and the necessity for interference.

Other energy-efficient innovations include the LED lighting system, which is not only environment-friendly but also needs zero maintenance and protection against electrical and fire hazards. The light will help achieve a 50 per cent decrease in the station’s overall energy expenditure. Further, the air-conditioning uses modern VRF technology to decrease energy use by 35 per cent.

In line with directives that help community members to maintain social distancing, modern and safe contactless pay methods including VIP, ENOCPay, NOL, Dubai Now are held across all stations.

The service stations also have ZOOM C-stores, which offer customers over 7,500 products including confectionery and snacks as well as hot and cold beverages
