Empower Advocates for District Cooling Awareness Through Global Workshops and Training Initiatives

Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation PJSC (Empower), the world's largest district cooling services provider, has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting district cooling as a sustainable and eco-friendly solution to environmental challenges. Empower plans to expand awareness efforts in 2025 by hosting a series of workshops and seminars locally and internationally.

A Comprehensive Plan for Sustainability
Empower’s approach emphasizes raising awareness and building knowledge about district cooling technologies as essential tools in combating climate change. This initiative builds on the company’s achievements in 2024, which included forging partnerships, hosting global delegations for technical study tours, and organizing educational events.

In May 2024, Empower hosted a meeting with consultants to showcase advanced technologies, followed by a technical tour in July, organized in collaboration with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), for high-level delegations from Tunisia, Morocco, and Pakistan. This tour, supported by funding from the Government of Italy, highlighted Dubai’s advanced district cooling systems.

In December 2024, Empower co-hosted a virtual seminar under the theme, “The Cool Future: Exploring Sustainable District Cooling Solutions from the MENA Region to Europe,” with UNEP and other international organizations, emphasizing the role of district cooling in reducing energy consumption and addressing climate change.
