Dubai Culture Hosts Intellectual Property Workshop to Bolster Creativity and Innovation in Cultural Sector
The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), in partnership with the Ministry of Economy, has organized a workshop titled "Intellectual Property and Achieving Leadership in Culture and Creativity" to enhance understanding of intellectual property (IP) in the cultural and creative sector. The workshop aimed to raise IP awareness and facilitate the registration of Dubai Culture’s works on the Ministry’s website, underscoring the Authority's dedication to promoting IP rights within its initiatives.
Held at the Etihad Museum, the event was attended by key figures from Dubai Culture, including Muna Faisal Al Gurg, CEO of the Museums and Heritage Sector, and Dr. Saeed Mubarak bin Kharbash, CEO of the Arts, Design, and Literature Sector. The Ministry of Economy was represented by Abdulrahman Hassan Al Muaini, Assistant Undersecretary for the Intellectual Property Rights Sector.
The workshop featured discussions led by IP experts, covering topics such as copyright, trademarks, patents, and industrial design registration processes. Dubai Culture's Director General, Hala Badri, emphasized the workshop’s importance in fostering innovation and adapting to global IP standards. She highlighted Dubai Culture’s commitment to a sustainable creative environment and the significance of its partnership with the Ministry of Economy in supporting this goal.
This initiative reflects Dubai Culture's ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration with government entities, thereby enhancing knowledge and expertise exchange within the cultural and creative sectors.
