Dubai Art Season 2025 Returns With Exciting Creative Experiences
Dubai Culture has announced the launch of Dubai Art Season 2025, taking place from 4 January to 20 April 2025 under the theme ‘Take a Walk on the Art Side.’ Held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, the season promises a wealth of artistic initiatives, entertainment activities, and cultural festivals, reflecting Dubai’s commitment to enhancing its global standing as a cultural and creative hub.
Dr. Saeed Mubarak bin Kharbash, CEO of the Arts & Literature Sector at Dubai Culture, highlighted the significance of Dubai Art Season in nurturing the cultural and creative industries. He stated, "Dubai Art Season offers a unique experience that showcases the essence of Dubai, its vibrancy, and future aspirations. The season not only strengthens Dubai’s cultural movement but also attracts creatives from around the world, supporting cultural tourism and connecting talent."
The season will commence with the fourth edition of the Al Marmoom: Film in the Desert festival, running from 4 to 12 January 2025 under the theme ‘Stories at One with Nature.’ This festival will feature a mix of films, live performances, workshops, panel discussions, and immersive experiences, all designed to support the sustainability of the regional film industry and provide a platform for film professionals to share knowledge and inspire new talent.
On 25 and 26 January, the twelfth edition of the Al Quoz Arts Fest will take place in Al Quoz Creative Zone and Alserkal Avenue, featuring over 200 artistic and cultural events, including musical performances and cultural experiences, showcasing the rich diversity of Dubai's creative landscape.
Another highlight is the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature, which will run from 29 January to 3 February 2025 at the InterContinental Hotel Festival City. This renowned literary event will feature over 150 events, including author talks, panel discussions, and workshops, with a special focus on UAE culture through the ‘Bil Emirati’ section, which will feature notable Emirati and international authors.
From 31 January to 9 February, the Sikka Art and Design Festival will take place at Al Shindagha Historic Neighbourhood, offering an exciting lineup of visual arts, performances, workshops, and talks by local and regional artists.
The season will conclude with the 18th edition of Art Dubai at Madinat Jumeirah, scheduled for 18 to 20 April 2025. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore contemporary and international art, with workshops, discussions, and participation from galleries across the Contemporary, Modern, Bawwaba, and Art Dubai Digital sections. Additionally, Dubai Opera will host a series of performances throughout the year, showcasing regional and international talent in music and theater.
Dubai Art Season 2025 promises to be a celebration of creativity and innovation, offering unforgettable cultural experiences for both residents and visitors alike.
