DGHR Participates in Ru’ya 2024 to Empower Emirati Youth and Support Emiratisation Goals

The Dubai Government Human Resources (DGHR) Department is participating in the 23rd edition of Ru’ya Careers UAE 2024, held from September 24 to 26 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Under the theme [YOU]th Can, the event is aimed at empowering young Emiratis, fostering innovation, and supporting Emiratisation goals within the UAE’s job market.

As the official government sponsor, DGHR's participation aligns with the strategic goals of the Emirati Human Resources Development Council. The council offers workshops, career counseling, and vocational training to enhance the skills of students from grade nine onwards. The event aims to boost career prospects for Emirati graduates, particularly in critical sectors, with initiatives like the Future Vision Navigator, which integrates AI to help students identify their vocational interests.

H.E. Abdulla Ali Bin Zayed Al Falasi, Director General of DGHR, highlighted the importance of events like Ru’ya 2024 in bridging the gap between young graduates and job opportunities in both public and private sectors. He emphasized that the event plays a crucial role in preparing Emirati talents for the future, in line with the We the UAE 2031 vision, which aims to position the UAE as a global leader in talent attraction and retention.

During the event, DGHR’s pavilion welcomed several dignitaries, including senior government officials, who were briefed on the department’s services and initiatives. Notable attendees included H.E. Abdulla Mohammed Al Basti, Secretary General of The Executive Council, and H.E. Awadh Seghayer Al Ketbi, Director General of Dubai Health Authority, among others.

In addition, DGHR signed a cooperation agreement with ENOC Group to assess and develop the behavioural competencies of employees in the energy sector, further supporting the future workforce needs of the UAE.
