DGHR Collaborates with MBRF and UNDP to Equip Employees with Future-Ready Skills

The Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) has joined forces with the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to advance the ‘FutureSkills4All’ initiative. This initiative, launched by MBRF and UNDP in collaboration with the educational platform Coursera, aims to empower Dubai Government employees by providing access to top-tier training programs from industry leaders.

His Excellency Abdullah Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, Director General of DGHR, emphasized the department’s dedication to strengthening its collaboration with MBRF and UNDP. He highlighted the importance of coordinated efforts in achieving the mission to equip human resources with future-oriented skills, thereby supporting Dubai’s vision of fostering innovative talent and promoting sustainable development. H.E. Al Falasi explained that this strategic initiative offers educational programs and innovative training methods to prepare Dubai’s government employees for the rapidly changing work environments.

His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb, CEO of MBRF, expressed enthusiasm for the expanded reach of the initiative and the reinforced partnership with DGHR. He stated, "This move is crucial for enhancing the skills and competencies of Dubai Government employees, preparing them for the ever-evolving labor market. Empowering individuals and enriching youth potential through exceptional educational and training opportunities in collaboration with global organizations is vital for strengthening education and comprehensive development, consolidating the UAE’s position as a global knowledge hub."

Dr. Hany Torky, Project Manager of UNDP's Knowledge Project, added, "Through this initiative, UNDP collaborates with MBRF to provide knowledge and educational materials to the Arab community. Our goal is to ensure that Dubai Government employees benefit from the exceptional courses offered. We aim to facilitate widespread access to learning opportunities, empowering employees to advance their careers and contribute to a brighter future."

The initiative offers free and exclusive educational materials and training programs from global corporations such as Google, Meta, and IBM to Dubai Government professionals. It also provides learning opportunities for recent graduates, job seekers, and seasoned professionals seeking to enhance their digital expertise and adapt to evolving market demands. The initiative is designed for talented innovators across diverse fields, helping them advance their careers and stay ahead in both local and global job markets.

‘FutureSkills4All’ includes a wide range of courses covering various skills, such as personal development, essential digital skills, job readiness, new graduate skills, and English language proficiency. It also offers courses in public entrepreneurship, community entrepreneurship, and technological entrepreneurship, along with technical skills in Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning, customer service, data science, finance, financial technology, project and product management, marketing, and sales.

The collaboration between DGHR and MBRF, two key entities in human capital development, marks a significant step towards fostering knowledge excellence and shaping a promising future for the next generations.
