DEWA organises Road Race on National Sports Day

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), in collaboration with Zabeel Ladies Club, has actually arranged the Road Race activity on the National Sports Day. A large numbers of women, from DEWA's staff and society, participated in the race in a exciting and energetic ambience. The activity was part of the National Sports Day, an initiative of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, organised under the motto 'UAE Unites Us'. "Launching the yearly National Sports Day as per the instructions of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, stresses his commitment to making Dubai the happiest city on the planet, with fit and healthy individuals. We are pleased to take part in this national activity, which contributes to enhancing relations and motivating values of forgiveness and combination. Events like these promote values of love and consistency in society through the language of sport, which everybody comprehends, no matter their culture," stated HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA.

Sara Alkous preceded, Elite Cruikshank came second, and Asma Hanslod came 3rd at the Road Race.

The organising committee of the Road Race prepared the location of the event according to the highest international safety standards. Ambulances, provided by the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, were placed around the location to guarantee the security of all participants.
