Beukes and Engelbrecht second team to represent South Africa at Xerox Corporate Golf Challenges Grand Final

Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge (XCGC) 2015 held its ninth qualifying round at The De Zalze Golf Club, Stellenbosch, South Africa, on Tuesday, September 22. The 300-hectare golf estate is the only golf club in the world that is a signatory to the 'Fair Trade' programme.

Gerhard Beukes and Deon Engelbrecht emerged as winners with 48 points. Stephen Stradling and Mitch Ferrera secured second place with 48 (countback), forcing Mark van Niekerk and Dirk Lutz into third place, with a score of 47.

On-course competitions included Crystal Gallerys Hole 16 Longest Drive claimed by Mark Beattie, Hole 2 Straightest Drive won by Llewelyn Adonis, Charles Winshaws Hole 17 Nearest the Pin won by Mardelyn Crouse, Eccos Hole 12 Nearest the Pin won by James Klynveld, and Aramexs Hole 3 Nearest the Pin won by Steve Wilson. Ras Al Khaimah Tourisms Hole in One prize remains unclaimed.

The winning team from the second international qualifier will play in the Grand Final in Ras Al Khaimah at the end of 2015, and will be the second of two teams representing South Africa.
