Baker & McKenzie.Habib Al Mulla named Asian-MENA Counsel In-house Community Firm of the Year for Restructuring & Insolvency

Baker & McKenzie.Habib Al Mulla has solidified its position as a dominant law firm in the Middle East following being named the Asian-MENA Counsel In-house Community Firm of the Year for Restructuring & Insolvency in the Asian-MENA Counsel's Representative Corporate Asia & Middle East Survey 2014.

Alongside its success in the UAE, Baker & McKenzie has been voted by corporate counsel and business leaders as the "Most Responsive International Firm of the Year" in China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, and the "Most Responsive Domestic Firm of the Year" in Indonesia and Malaysia. The Firm was also named "In-House Community Firm of the Year" across 37 different practices in seven other jurisdictions China, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

The recognition closely follows the Firm being named as the strongest law firm brand in the Asia Pacific region and also globally in the Acritas' Sharplegal Law Firm Brand Index.

The survey, conducted by publishers Pacific Business Press, contacted more than 21,000 in-house lawyers and senior company directors across Asia Pacific and the Middle East to determine which law firms are the most preferred in the minds of in-house counsel. Respondents were asked, among other things, for their comments on the quality and value of service received from external counsel in their jurisdiction, with votes aggregated to select the winning firms in each category.
