Ajman Unveils Logo and Mascot for Asian Bodybuilding Championship at ATM 2025
On the sidelines of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025, held from April 28 to May 1 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, the Ajman Department of Tourism Development unveiled the official logo and mascot of the upcoming Asian Bodybuilding Championship, scheduled to take place in Ajman from June 14 to 18, 2025.
The unveiling was led by Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ajman Department of Tourism Development, during his visit to Ajman's pavilion at ATM. The mascot, named ‘Mayed’, was introduced as a symbol of Ajman’s growing role in hosting regional and international sporting events. The initiative reinforces the emirate’s commitment to sports tourism and sustainable development.
During the visit, Sheikh Abdulaziz Al Nuaimi conducted an extensive tour of Ajman’s pavilion, which included a newly introduced ‘museums’ section that highlights the emirate’s historical depth and civilisational diversity. He also viewed the prototype of the Al Manama Museum, which offers a glimpse into the region’s heritage and traditions.
Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi remarked:
“It is a great honour to unveil the official logo and mascot of the Asian Bodybuilding Championship, which will be hosted by the Emirate of Ajman in June. This reflects our dedication to promoting sports tourism and sustainable development. We believe the championship will be a significant opportunity to spotlight Ajman’s advanced tourism, logistical capabilities, and cultural identity on an international stage.”
H.E. Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of the Ajman Department of Tourism Development, added:
“Hosting the Asian Bodybuilding Championship aligns with our strategic goal of enhancing the emirate’s profile in global tourism and sports tourism. Ajman’s strong infrastructure and diverse offerings make it an ideal destination for major international events.”
Ajman’s pavilion, located at Sheikh Saeed Hall 1, Booth ME0920, featured a curated program that showcased the emirate’s cultural richness, natural beauty, and tourism investment opportunities. The department’s participation at ATM reflects Ajman’s vision to elevate visitor experiences while fostering sustainable tourism growth and international collaboration.
