Ajman Tourism Development Department Showcases Growth at World Travel Market 2024

The Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) will promote the Emirate of Ajman as a premier global tourist destination at the World Travel Market (WTM) in London, from November 5 to 7, 2024. ATDD's participation will focus on highlighting Ajman’s recent developments and initiatives in tourism, aiming to strengthen its international presence and attract more visitors from Europe and beyond.

During the event, ATDD plans to establish new partnerships and enhance collaborations with global travel and tourism companies, showcasing Ajman’s rich attractions. Featured sites will include natural reserves, pristine beaches, and cultural landmarks such as the Ajman Museum. This effort aligns with Ajman Vision 2030, which aims to position the emirate as a highly desirable destination and enhance its tourism infrastructure.

H.E. Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of ATDD, noted the significance of the WTM as a platform to engage with industry leaders, exchange insights, and explore innovations shaping global tourism. He remarked, “Our participation reinforces our commitment to highlighting Ajman’s unique attractions on the world stage and implementing sustainable projects that drive growth in the tourism sector.”

In addition to ATDD’s efforts, a diverse group of hotels and travel companies will participate in WTM. These include Ajman Saray Hotel, The Oberoi Beach Resort Ajman, Fairmont Ajman, and others. Ajman’s tourism sector experienced significant growth in 2024, with an 11% increase in tourist arrivals from the UK between January and September, an 8.1% rise in the average stay duration, and a 5% revenue increase in September. These positive trends underscore the emirate’s appeal as a leading tourism destination.

ATDD's mission includes enhancing Ajman’s tourism sector and providing exceptional experiences for both locals and international visitors. Through advanced tourism services, the department seeks to solidify Ajman’s status as a top travel destination.
