Ajman Department of Tourism Development Concludes Successful Participation in ITB Berlin 2025, Announces European Representative Office Launch
The Ajman Department of Tourism Development (ADTD) has successfully concluded its participation in ITB Berlin 2025, one of the world's leading travel trade shows, held in Berlin from March 4 to 6. The event attracted significant attendance from global tourism leaders, tour operators, and travel enthusiasts, offering ADTD a strategic platform to promote Ajman’s tourism potential and strengthen its international presence.
During the three-day event, ADTD showcased Ajman’s diverse tourism offerings, including cultural attractions, hospitality services, and sustainable tourism initiatives. The department aimed to enhance Ajman’s appeal as a top travel destination while fostering international partnerships aligned with the emirate’s long-term tourism growth strategy.
A key highlight of ADTD’s participation was the announcement of a new partnership agreement with Pure Touristik, a prominent travel agency, to establish a European representative office. The office will serve markets across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, significantly boosting Ajman's outreach in Europe. This strategic initiative is designed to attract more visitors from the region and enhance collaboration with tourism companies, investors, and destination management organizations. The move is expected to amplify Ajman’s visibility and foster stronger business and cultural ties with European markets.
The event also witnessed the active participation of leading hospitality establishments and travel agencies from Ajman, including Ajman Saray, Fairmont Ajman, Ajman Hotel by Blazon Hotels, Bahi Ajman Palace Hotel, Wyndham Garden Ajman Corniche, Perfect Journeys, and Reza International Tourism. These entities played a key role in showcasing the emirate’s world-class hospitality and travel services, reinforcing Ajman’s position as a preferred tourism destination in the region.
Speaking on the occasion, His Excellency Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of ADTD, emphasized the importance of participating in ITB Berlin 2025, stating: “The remarkable response to our pavilion at ITB Berlin reflects our commitment to positioning Ajman as a world-class travel destination. Establishing a European representative office will play a crucial role in enhancing international collaborations and increasing tourism inflow from key European markets.”
He further highlighted that the department’s participation aligns with the emirate's broader vision to strengthen the tourism sector, attract global investments, and build a sustainable tourism economy. ADTD also revealed that Ajman has witnessed an 8% increase in international visitors and a significant rise in tourism revenue compared to 2023, demonstrating positive growth momentum in the sector.
The establishment of the European representative office is expected to accelerate tourism development, boost economic growth, and promote Ajman’s unique tourism experiences across international markets. As part of its long-term vision, ADTD remains committed to forging new global partnerships, enhancing visitor experiences, and driving sustainable tourism practices.
