16 women from various GCC nations climbing up the highest mountain peak of the area
16 females representing numerous GCC countries will climb up Jebel Shams, the region's greatest mountain peak through Western Hajar mountain trek organized by Husaak Adventures in partnership with Oman Ministry of Tourism from December 10 to 12, 2015 at Muscat, Oman. The three-day exploration will see the 16 female mountaineers making their method to Jebel Shams's height of over 3,000 meters above the water level.
Asma Al Hajri, Deputy Director General, International Tourism Promotions in Oman Ministry of Tourism, stated: "We enjoy to support the brave women in this interesting experience. The trek to the summit of Jebel Shams will provide a vibrant and truly extraordinary experience that will challenge the athleticism of our individuals. The trip reflects the spirit of solidarity within the Gulf area and the success of the hikers upon arriving will be commemorated by raising the flags of the GCC countries.".
The expedition will start in the afternoon of the first day with the group gathering at the designated meeting point in Muscat. The hike will cover a range of over 20 kilometers in a path deemed ideal for fit and active people. The trail has actually been categorized as safe by the relevant environmental authorities and thought about one of the most popular travelling sites within the Sultanate as it offers an exceptional view. The Trip is also part of the ministry's efforts to promote and support such events to promote ecological and adventurous tourist in Oman offered the magnificent nature that the Sultanate delights in.

The group includes: Linda Al Muqaimi, Rumaitha Al Busaidi and Salsabeel Al Busaidi representing Oman, Lulu Al Awadhi, Dalal Al Omar, Sabika Al Ayyar, Nourah Al Sabah, Lamia Al Ghareeb, and Aseel Al Shaheen from Kuwait, Nada Jamsheer, Hadya Fathallah and Fatima Fathallah from Bahrain. In addition to Nahid Al Dosary and Budoor Ashadawi from Saudi Arabia and finally Sharifa Yateem and Danah Al Ali from the UAE.
