UAE Reassures Public on Food Supply, Urges Consumers to Report Price Violations
The UAE Ministry of Economy and Tourism has reassured residents that food supplies across the country remain stable and sufficient, while urging the public to report any instances of price hikes or commercial violations.
In a statement, the ministry called on consumers to submit complaints through its official channels to support stronger market monitoring and ensure businesses comply with consumer protection regulations.
Consumers can report violations through the ministry’s electronic consumer complaints service available on its official website. Complaints can also be filed by contacting the ministry through phone or WhatsApp at 8001222, or by sending an email through its consumer support system.
The ministry said the initiative aims to enhance transparency in the market and safeguard consumer rights by addressing unfair pricing or other violations quickly.
Authorities also emphasized that the UAE’s strategic food reserves are sufficient to meet national demand. According to the ministry, essential food items are available in adequate quantities across all emirates.
Officials further confirmed that supply chains across the country continue to function normally, ensuring steady distribution and stable availability of food products throughout the UAE.
