Temporary Road Closures Announced on Emirates Road and Key Streets from August 16

The Abu Dhabi authorities have announced a temporary closure of several major roads, including a partial closure of Emirates Road (E611) towards Dubai, to facilitate ongoing infrastructure development works.

According to Abu Dhabi Mobility, the two right lanes on Emirates Road towards Dubai will be closed from 12:00 am on Saturday, August 16, until 5:00 am on Monday, August 18. Motorists are advised to plan alternative routes during this period to avoid delays.

In addition, the intersection at Zayed Bin Sultan Street and Hessa Bint Mohammed Street in Al Ain will also be closed during the same timeframe.

Authorities have urged drivers to follow directional signs and exercise caution when passing through the affected areas. These temporary closures form part of broader infrastructure upgrades aimed at enhancing road safety and easing traffic flow.

The announcement follows earlier temporary closures on July 25, when Al Jamea Road and Al Muzawwad Road at the Al Badia intersection towards Dubai (Emirates Road) were shut for similar development works.

Residents and commuters are encouraged to stay updated through official Abu Dhabi Mobility channels for any further announcements or changes in traffic management plans.
